I guess we’re not so different after all. Are we Pumpkin?

What makes us different? What makes us the same? Do you ever get jealous of others because they have something you don’t have? What makes you think they’re perfect and you’re not, and why are we so quick to judge when we have our own flaws? See people are like pumpkins and they all have a purpose. They come in different sizes and shapes, and they even have a different face, but at the end of the day their still pumpkins, aren’t they, not according to Alpha Omega Pi. They believe in standing out, but only if you look like them. They believe in equality, but only if it meets their high standards and they may even be able to accept your differences, but only if it means they’ll beat the Tri Omegas.

Take Julie, for instance, the new president of Alpha Omega Pi. At first, she seems sweet and optimistic, but behind all of that makeup she’s overly zealous and portrays discriminatory and questionable racist behavior. During rush, Julie specifically picks out rushees that would improve her chances of winning sorority of the year, but the interesting thing is that she doesn’t care about their personality or what they have to offer, she’s only focused on the color of their skin as she refers to them as “Diversity Girls.” According to Greek Council it would make SCSU seem as if they are open to accepting all people of different backgrounds, ethnicities, and races. No wonder why she chose “Challenged Games’’
